There's been a boost for supporters of Battersea Power Station's redevelopment; The Government have given their backing to the proposals which would see more than 3,700 homes being built on the site.
As well as housing, the development features shops, conference facilities, public galleries and parks. The iconic towers of the power station, which featured on the album cover for Pink Floyd's 1987 album, 'Animals', will be restored.
'Cabe', the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment, have praised the 'intelligent' design of the plans, which will go before Wandsworth Council in June. The total cost of redeveloping the site is expected to be £5.5 Billion.
