As part of proposals to restore faith in the political system, Gordon Brown has said he is in favour of giving 16 year olds a vote.
Speaking in the Commons, Brown said most 16 years olds were mature enough to vote and more informed nowadays.
However, Brown made it very clear that lowering the age of voting, must go 'hand-in-hand' with improvements in citizenship education.
Have you say below. Should 16 year olds be allowed to vote or are they not responsible enough?
