Have you got a date for Valentine's day? You can find love in the most unexpected places - even your local supermarket. ASDA have taken it a bit further and are adding a new range to their stock: Speed dating.

On Tuesday the supermarket opened their doors in their Wembley branch with an offer of speed dating in addition to bread and milk. About 20 people grabbed the opportunity to look for love in a bit of an untraditional way.

This is what a few of the participants sais after their dates:

''I did have fun, but I didn't find him. So no Mr. Right tonight.''

''It went well. Didn't go as well as I wanted it to though. It went okay.''

''I think there was definately a chance, yeah. I saw someone.''

''There was a spark. Just with one there was a spark.''

Research done by the supermarket shows that 64 per cent of customers said they would consider the supermarket a good place to meet a potential partner. The contestants had up to ten dates lasting five minutes each.

Leah Watson, Head of Consumer Relations at Asda said: "I've heard of people finding love much stranger places than amongst the bananas! We get hundreds of letters each year from customers who have met in the ailes and we're excited about bringing people together in this way - in fact to date we've had two weddings in store with a third taking place Valentine's weekend."
