Woman (100) stabbed to death

A man believed to be the son of the 100-year-old woman who was stabbed to death in East London has been arrested.
The woman was found dead in her home, and a murder investigation is now under way. The police and an ambulance were called to Hainton Close in Whitechapel just before ten o’clock this morning.
The police say a 61-year-old man is in custody. The woman was found with a stab wound to her neck, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
