In an exclusive survey carried out by LCC News, 44 percent of Londoners said they would not want to interfere if they saw an attack taking place.
Christina O'Sullivan experiences her friend being attacked by a man outside a London nightclub last week. She was shocked that no one stepped in to help her. Christina has no choice but to step in herself.
"Everyone was just like, basically staring. No one wanted to intervene, no one wanted to help", she says.
The LCC survey shows that Londoners are scared of themselves being injured if they got involved. 58 per cent said they thought it would be dangerous.

Furthermore a nationwide survey by the University College London showed 60 percent of brits would not step in.
Christina was shocked to see the people who just stood looking.
"You've got these big, muscular men who could have intervened and helped, but they didn't want to know."

Outside the Nightclub the man started assaulting Christina's friend. He tried grabbing her leg, before Christina decided to intervene herself.
"Basically, I just interfered, pushed him aside, then he started to get violent", she says.
With Christina's help, her friend managed to get away. But not everyone is that lucky. If you want to fint out how safe your neighbourhood is, read more here.
