A new format to the knock-out stages meant there were only two games last night, with Barcelona away to Stuttgart and Bordeux travelling to Greek side Olympiacos.

Champions Barca were held to a one all draw in Germany, with their away goal a vital advantage for the second leg. Meanwhile Bordeux managed to win against Olympiacos in Athens one nil.

Zlatan Ibrhimovich scored his first ever goal in the Champions League knockout faze, slotting in after a brilliant save from former Arsenal favourite Jens Lehmann. This cancelled out Cacau thunderous headed opener in the first half, howvever Barcelona has much of the posession and chances throughout the game.

In-form Bordeux recorded a great win over Greek champions Olympiacos thanks to centre-back Michael Ciani's header from a Yoann Gourcuff cross. The hosts almost equallised in the closing stages but Lomano LuaLua's shot was tipped round the post.

Tonight's matches see Chelsea take on Inter Milan, coached by former boss Jose Mourinho, while Spanish high-fylers Sevilla travel to Russia to face CSKA Moscow.
