Gym Addiction: What Makes Fitness Fanatics Tick

Where do they find the time? Some people manage to get a gym session in no matter how pressed they are at work or at home.

But perhaps it's shouldn't be seen as an extra chore on the tick-list.  Gym-goers themselves say it's completely worth it and adds to their lives.

One middle-aged man, who does an hour on the treadmill each day, told us "You can live much longer, you can go back to the beach, and look sexy as well!"

"My self esteem was ok before, but at least I've lost some weight so now I feel much better!"

But do people need to bust a gut at the gym to gain the confidence and self esteem that should come naturally? One woman we spoke to put an increase in self confidence entirely down to her regular workouts.
