Manchester United's Rio Ferdinand is free to play tonight's Carling Cup Semi-Final second leg with Manchester City after pleading innocent in response to a violent conduct charge.
The incident in question happened at Saturday's Premier League game at Old Trafford with Hull's Craig Fagan. Ferdinand is charged with striking Fagan with his arm while Manchester United defended against a Hull free kick.
A FA regulatory commission is due to look a the case tomorrow, if Ferdinand is found guilty then he could face at the least a three-match ban.
